La Bella's Farm and Country Store
Father-daughter team, Tony and Donna La Bella, with the help of mom, Nancy, started their first farm together in the Catskills in 2000. They cultivated 1000 heirloom apple trees and fell in love with farming.
The La Bella’s have since moved and put down roots in Branford, Connecticut where they grow 8 acres of organic vegetables, 8 acres of Christmas trees and run a thriving country store. Throughout the spring, summer and fall, La Bella’s is overflowing with freshly picked veggies. In the fall and winter, Christmas trees and wreaths are available - Donna makes all 300 wreathes by hand!
Dudley Farm Farmers' Market

Connecticut Folk Festival and Green Expo

Branford Conservation Commission
Section 7-131a of the Connecticut General Statutes enables towns and cities in Connecticut to establish a Conservation Commission "for the development, conservation, supervision and regulation of natural resources, including water resources within its territorial limits." While the role of a Conservation Commission is advisory, one of its most significant assignments is its role in reviewing pending land use applications and reporting to planning and zoning and inland wetland commissions concerning those applications. It is also responsible for preparing an inventory of natural resources which should act as a baseline for a town's preservation and conservation policies.
