Make an Impact Launches in Massena NY

On November 17, the first snowy day of the winter season, Make an Impact launched at the Massena Operations plant to a group of 60 Alcoans eager to learn more about saving money by curbing their energy consumption at home. Bill Gerber, Power Manager at the plant, introduced the Make an Impact team and reiterated the importance of energy efficiency and sustainability for Alcoa as a company – and for Massena as a community.

“Saving energy and money at home through the Make an Impact program is a perfect extension of our efforts at Alcoa to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations,” said Gerber in his introduction. “The program is also an important tool for the community in these hard economic times.”
