Make an Impact launches in Warrick

On February 16, more than 50 employees from across Warrick Operations gathered for the launch of Make an Impact. During this event, Alcoans learned how to analyze their personal carbon footprint using the Make an Impact carbon calculator and how to get involved and spread the message of energy efficiency to coworkers and throughout the community.

One of the upcoming activities that Alcoans in Warrick can get involved in is the Make an Impact: Change Our 2morrow (CO2) Schools’ Challenge that launches March 14. Warrick is one of 5 Alcoa locations participating in this fun and engaging challenge in which 15 schools are competing to win a $5,000 or $1,000 grant prize from the Alcoa Foundation. Learn more about it here.

Alcoa Foundation has partnered with the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions to mobilize individual action on climate change. Since its launch in September 2008, the program has helped Alcoa families and neighbors identify close to 4.5 million lbs of CO2 savings.
