"Make an Impact: Change Our 2morrow" Schools' Challenge
Make an Impact is launching a competition in which 15 schools in five Alcoa locations around the country will compete to win an Alcoa Foundation $5,000 environmental grant or one of four $1,000 environmental grants for the runner-ups. The program, entitled "Make an Impact: Change Our 2morrow (CO2)" is intended to motivate students, teachers, parents and the community to learn how to use energy more efficiently by visiting the Make an Impact website and completing the carbon calculator. The winning schools will be determined based on the highest number of Make an Impact carbon calculator completions during the challenge, from March 14 to April 11. The winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22.
