Whitehall, MI Makes an Impact!

Representatives from the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions traveled to Whitehall, MI for a week of Make an Impact events at the Alcoa Howmet facility. The team conducted three workshops for four days, reaching over 1,000 employees!

The team showed employees how to analyze their personal carbon footprint using the Make an Impact calculator and share information on how to save money and save the planet.

Local experts and organizations also came out to share tips and resources to help employees save money on energy costs. Employees were able to speak with a variety of experts from the area. 

Alcoa Foundation has partnered with the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions to mobilize individual action on climate change. Since its launch in September 2008, the program has helped Alcoa families and neighbors identify close to $1 million in energy savings - the equivalent of 2.5 million pounds of CO2!
